The Mission of the P.S. 384 Q PTA is to empower each child to achieve academic excellence and provide a foundation to become engaged and responsible community members. Through enrichment of the curriculum, the PTA strives to ensure an inclusive environment that fosters creativity, collaboration and a love of learning.

Our PTA has an active board that helps to raise funds for our school, support school wide initiatives and positively contribute to the sense of community within our school. As a parent/guardian of a child at P.S. 384, you are automatically part of the PTA! We encourage you to take an active role in the PTA by volunteering your talents and time any way you can. You can also vote in elections. At P.S. 384, our PTA works to:
- Create mutual support and understanding between home and school, for a well-rounded experience for our students.
- Provide a means for keeping parents informed of school activities, programs, and other opportunities for parent service.
- Assist the school in meeting the students’ academic success, primarily through but not limited to: fund-raising activities, community outreach, family events, and other academic events throughout the school year.
If you would like to have a more focused involvement in our PTA, there are also subcommittees which will support and enrich our school community. Some areas are: Building Community Partnerships, Communication & PR, Recruitment, Social Events (children), Social Events (adults), Fundraising, Kindergarten Moving Up, Decorating, etc.
